This product update log lists main feature releases to the TravelTime API and its developer tools.
- Released new include_roads parameter to all JSON endpoints, allowing unpaved and/or restricted roads to be included in a driving request if required.
- Release of the new driving model to more countries: Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Japan, South Africa, India, Portugal, Slovenia, Greece, Australia. More details about countries with the new driving model available here.
- Added new accept_roads parameter to the snapping functionality of all JSON endpoints, allowing a user to choose whether journeys can start and end on all drivable roads (including motorways) or just those that are accessible by walking (therefore excluding motorways.
- Released two new demo applications, which can be used to experience how the API can be embedded into different use cases:
- Released new polygons_filter parameter to the Isochrone API endpoints, allowing a limit to be set for the number of separate polygons returned in an isochrone.
- Released new snap_penalty parameter to all JSON API endpoints (except Geocoding) to allow a user to choose whether they want to include the walking time to and from the nearest road as part of a drive time calculation or not.
- Added new infrastructure in North America with geographic load balancing to further reduce latency and improve performance.
- Continued deploying the new driving model to additional countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, USA. More details about countries with the new driving model available here.
